Meet Anne, the woman behind the magic:
“I was born and raised in Michigan and then my husband, children, and I spent almost 14 years being moved around the country while my husband was in the Navy! I taught myself to knit, crochet, and sew over those years. I had a photography business briefly before switching to making newborn photography props. When that industry slowed after 2020, I started looking for other ways to utilize my talents and massive hoard of fabric and yarn. In April of 2025, I discovered Jelly Roll Rugs and started making those!
In June of 2025, a friend introduced me to Porch Geese. I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever seen! I bought a 23" and 17" goose from Miles Kimball and found a few patterns. Eventually that turned into me buying desk geese as well! I have been blessed with so many orders for my outfits since then and have shipped them ALL over the country! I hope to continue making these outfits as each one brings me so much joy!
On the rare occasion I am not sewing, I enjoy just being around my husband and kids. We are a homeschooling family so we like to play games together, take random field trips to local places, and just love to laugh and spend our days as a family! Some of the most favorite items I have made (so far!) are my newsboy hats for larger geese and my scalloped hem desk goose outfits. I feel that those two things really set me apart. I also love my floral outfits. I prefer to use only stretch knit fabrics and that, too, seems to set me apart. At Christmas time, my favorite outfit was definitely the Christmas light outfit with Christmas lights garland!
I really hope the trend of geese continues because it's finally nice to be bringing in some income against after many years of struggle!”
